Freetown (Sierra Leone) – Aminata Kamara is three years old – and is already quite alone. In less than six months, the girl has lost 14 family members in the course of Ebola epidemic, including her mother, father and two brothers. Now the little living with a cousin, she recorded in her humble hut in a suburb of the capital Freetown. Their property consists just of a mirror and an old sofa that both share a sleeping place.

“It is a miracle that she is still with us,” says Paulyanna canoe, kids Officer at Family Homes Movement (FHM). The charity supports Aminata with foods such as rice, oil and sardines.

Sierra Leone is next to Guinea and Liberia, the most affected by Ebola country. Nearly 11,000 people are infected with the virus there, more than 3,300 sufferers died already in the West African nation.
