Following a wave of deaths and injuries caused by high-risk selfies, the Russian Interior Ministry issued a campaign to call for caution.

A campaign that uses hijacked panels of the highway code to urge the public to be careful when they photograph. These selfies would have resulted in 100 injuries and dozens of deaths this year. “A selfie fees can cost you your life,” is the message the Ministry of Interior in this brochure filled with tips such as “a selfie kills with a weapon.”

Last May, a 21 year old woman was accidentally shot in the head in Moscow while taking a selfie with a pistol in hand. She sustained injuries but survived. In January, two young men died in the Urals while taking a selfies with a hand grenade, the pin removed. In May, a teenager in the Ryazan region died while trying to shoot while riding on a railroad bridge. He accidentally came into contact with live electrical son. In short, it is better to think before making a selfie, the race for “likes” can be very deadly.
